Welcome back, weekend warriors and Sonic street sweepers. The 2012 Hot Rod Power Tour had so many memorable moments of street cruising and traversing the highways and byways of the heartland; we had to dish out another heaping helping of the Chevrolet Performance Sonic.
From the initial stop at GM's Milford Proving Grounds, the caravan proceeded to Muskegon, Mich. on the second day of the Hot Rod Power Tour.
“The trip for the Chevy Performance team started early in the morning, as the very same vehicles you see on display at the Chevy Performance trailer drive from stop to stop for each leg of the tour. Along the way these vehicles, which range from a pristine vintage Suburban and a custom 1970 Dale Jr. LSA-powered Chevelle, to a brand new Camaro ZL1 and beyond, traverse the country and rack up miles along with the rest of the literally thousands of vehicles that participate in the Power Tour.”
The Chevrolet Performance Sonic is wearing the Chevrolet “Rift” graphic package available at www.chevroletgraphics.com/sonic.
To see the Sonic out there amidst the motorcade of muscle machines, holding its own, and applying its EPA-estimated 40 MPG on the open road— really revs our engines! We're already itchin' to hit the open road for the 2013 Hot Rod Power Tour!
