CHEVY SONIC, SPARK, CRUZE & VOLT REACH HIGHEST SALES LEVELS YET

Some great news coming out of the GM camp, folks! August has shown to be the best retail month of the year with reported sales of 240,520 vehicles. Compared to 2011, this accounts for a 10 percent increase over the same time period.

NYJAH TAKES HOME WIN & SLS CHEVY SONIC

The final round of Street League in Newark, New Jersey, was a culmination of perseverance from Paul Rodriguez, and Nyjah Huston's hunger to regain the title back from 2011 Champion, Sean Malto. As the quality of skating escalated, Malto was unable to fend off the competition, was knocked out and would finish 3rd overall. Once again, the competition was stepped up in the Best Trick Section, where Rodriquez blew away the judges with a Nollie Crooked Grind to Late Front Foot Flip out, extending his lead into the Big Section.

CHEVROLET SONIC RS Priced From $20,995

The all-new performance-inspired 2013 Chevrolet Sonic RS has been raising eyebrows in the subcompact scene— and definitely shaking things up nearing its production date set for this October. The Sonic RS 5-door will be available with a six-speed manual transmission beginning at $20,995, as well as a six-speed automatic starting at $22,280. GM showcases a nice walkthrough in their videos and grants us a closer look at the latest performance-bred Sonic RS we’ve been waiting for.

Be Careful What You Tweet. You Might Just Get Beat.

Matt Hardigree of Jalopnik had some choice words about the “launching” of the Chevy Sonic back in October of last year. This caught the attention of a Chevy PR representative and without letting this go unsettled, Matt was challenged to a race against Chevy Sonic in a Hyundai Accent. To back the bowtie team in this battle, lead development engineer of the Sonic, John Buttermore, would be piloting the Sonic RS against Hardigree.
